Claudia Victoria Nicolae is the Managing Director of AGERPRES, the Romanian National News Agency, since 2018. A journalist since 2004, she has worked across national newspapers, television channels, and news agencies. With expertise in journalism, diplomacy, and national security, she is actively involved in promoting high-quality journalism and combating disinformation at both national and international levels. In 2024, she was elected Board member of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA). She holds a Master's degree in Managerial Communication and Human Resources from the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) and is currently a PhD candidate in Economics at the Romanian Academy, National Institute for Economic Research.
