Former Deputy Minister for Migration and Asylum, responsible for Integration, Vulnerable Citizens and Unaccompanied Minors. During her tenure at the Ministry of Migration and Asylum, the National Emergency Response Mechanism received the European Crime Prevention Award, while the United Nations unanimously adopted the mechanism as a best practice and recommended it to all Member States. Thanks to the informal education program “All Children in Education,” conceived on her initiative, 2022 was considered the best school year for refugee children since the beginning of the refugee crisis

Professional career:

Journalist with a long career in daily newspapers and magazines, Editor-in-chief in daily newspapers as well as radio and television programs. War reporter. Intense professional, Parliamentarian and Trade Union activity, with significant elective offices.

Served as member of the Greek National Council for Radio and Television (2000-2002)

Personal:

Married, with 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Daughter of the late emblematic, multi award winning journalist John Voultepsis, prominent member of National Resistance, who had revealed and investigated the case of the assassination of Parliamentarian Grigoris Lambrakis, later to be known as “Z” journalist.
